It depends,,,: It depends on possibly many factors. The weather could cause this at times, also if you do a lot with your hands like typing on a computer or mobile phone and if you do a lot of bending with your legs. It could simply be the flu, as it can cause joint symptoms. But if it persists, it might be wise to see your Dr. for an exam and tests in case it might be a form of arthritis. Best of luck.
