Allergic reaction : If you have asthma symptoms, consider a virtual consult with Healthtap. The spurs may be sent for analysis including eosinophils. A blood eosinophil count and IGE level. Take an antihistamine and please have an allergy panel blood test. An infection can trigger an allergic reaction but most likely you have exposure without infection.

No: My question would be how you have that diagnosis in the absence of symptoms. Sometimes a pap result will report the presence of yeast and some will treat based on this finding. Yeast is not an abnormal finding in and of itself. The overgrowth of yeast is abnormal and leads to the characteristic discharge and symptoms. The mere presence of yeast does not necessarily warrant treatment.

Nose: The cilia in the nasal passages are the first line of defense. The lung itself has macrophages that also destroy invasive bacteria.
