See doc: You may have some ligament or tendon issue (rotator cuff) or even a bone/joint one. The best way to address it would be to see your physician to have a complete shoulder exam done. May need an xray/mri and/or physical therapy to help the popping/pain. Referral to orthopedic specialist may be entertained if the xray/mri are suggestive of a surgically correctable disease.
