Some basics: The syphillis germ does not necessarily attack a fetus that early in pregnancy & when it does it would be expected to trigger an abortion. It is something where treatment of the mother now can both end risk to her & baby. The pregnancy could be monitored with usual methods including ultrasound for normal fetal growth, which would suggest a normal potential. Discuss this with her doc.
