Hard to know: People who develop genital warts may test for strains. Once these are cleared from the body naturally within 2 yrs or if they are removed, they may retain the virus for life, but not shed/transfer it. If you never develop warts, you would have no reason to test. We assume you don't get or transfer warts unless you are infected & these can be passed before you notice the tiny first bumps.
