A member asked:

I was recently diagnosed with crohn's disease and took steriods for a few months before i received treatment. i noticed my hair started falling out a month before i stopped taking the steriods and my hair is still falling out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dermatologist: In cases like yours, I like to have the patient examined by a dermatologist who can often determine whether the type of hair loss is temporary or permanent, whether there is any scalp pathology, whether other medical conditions like thyroid disorder can be responsible or whether the corticosteroid was the cause.
