How is epididymitis treated when antibiotics dont work? i was told by one urologist all he could offer is a direct injection, but im 19 and absolutely do not want to risk infertility. it is causing extreme discomfort and often time a lot of pain?

Epididymitis: This is a peculiar situation. At your age, epididymitis usually is chlamydia or gonorrhea, or less commonly a non-STD urinary tract infection. Abscess is possible. Other possibilities include side effects of certain drugs. If gonorrhea, chlamydia or UTI, maybe you have not yet had the right antibiotic. Strongly suggest you seek second opinion from an infectious diseases specialist. Good luck.
