A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Missing" period: The period, when it occurs on low dose oral contraceptive pills, is actually hormone withdrawal bleeding which can be yellow or brown in character. Sometimes, there is no bleeding seen, and as long as you are not sexually active, pregnancy is not a concern so you should continue the next pack of pills as scheduled. If sexually active, run a pregnancy test to be sure it is negative.
