Not really: A simple way to test is to take a urine pregnancy test at home on the 1st morning pee. It is usually more concentrated. If you test early, before a pregnancy is well established it may not have time to create the hormones that turn the test positive. Just test again.

HPT: Oh gosh no. That should not be a problem. However, if your period remains late, consider home pregnancy testing again in a week using a first morning void. Take care.

Timing: Conception occurs within day or so of the sex. It takes about 3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully
