I assume a mesh has been placed. The swelling can last up to 2 or 3 months. Was the surgeon satisfied with your postop visit findings? The masturbation caused muscular discomfort most likely. It's probably not harmful but I don't recommend masturbating if it causes pain. Your surgeon can advise you further.
