Frequent "periods": Irregular bleeding can occur in early pregnancy occurring outside the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test if pregnancy is possible to be certain. Other causes include fibroid tumors, uterine polyps, delays of ovulation. See your gyn physician if the HCG test is negative.
