A member asked:

Is it normal to have menstrual cramps every first day of the period? it's too painful even pain reliever does not work

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Menstrual cramps: This is very common. Often symptoms are improved with ibuprofen 600 mg 3-4 x a day or Naproxen (Aleve) 220 mg, 2 pills 2 x a day, both over the counter in the states. Birth control pills also can decrease the cramping
