Normal Variation: Hormonal changes as women age can cause their menstrual cycles to evolve over time. Changes can also occur after pregnancy. As long as the bleeding is once a month and you are fairly regular, this falls within normal variation. Talk to your Dr if you are experiencing multiple periods per month or symptoms such as cramping that continue to get worse.
