Always wear a condom: Each STD infection has its own incubation period (the time it takes to detect sufficient number of infective particles). Chlamydia 7-21d, Gonorrhea 1-14d, Herpes 2-12d, HIV 2-4w, Syphilis 3w+, Trichomonas 5-28d, HPV 1m+. A test for Chlamydia and gonorrhea at 15 days should catch the majority of cases. If your partner was a person in a high risk category you should test for HIV also.
