Ora herpes: Symptoms usually start 3-5 days after exposure; 2 days is a bit early but might occur. With fever and if you have many sores and maybe sore throat, probably it's a new infection. It seems likely your kissing partner is the source -- but probably not her fault; she may not know she has it. Discuss with her -- she might need exam and testing. Or if you caught it elsewhere, maybe you put her at risk.
