A member asked:

Im in my mid 30s and take birth control pills to have my periods every month. if im not in a relationship and not planning to have kids do i need to take birth control pills? i dont need my period and dont want it.

Choices: If the pills were prescribed to make menses predictable, rather than erratic you can certainly stop them & face menses when/ if it decides to flow. If you don't ever want children, you can have a hysterectomy or other procedures to quit having menses. You may want to read up on your options & discuss them with your doc.
