A member asked:

Do benign eye floaters ever disappear? if so after how long?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Indefinite : Though floaters are often benign and self limited , one cannot wait to confirm this if there is blurred vision, pain , flashes of light or a sudden onset or a history of diabetes. The benign floaters may never disappear completely, but they decrease over time with the complete separation of the vitreous gel from the retina and become less annoying as the brain adapts to their presence
