Go to your physician: While a toothache can only be effectively resolved at the dentist’s, you can go to your primary care physician for evaluation. Your doctor can determine if the pain is caused by infection, for which antibiotics could be in order, and can also prescribe pain medication that is more effective than over the counter analgesics.
