My friends recently told me that it smells like fish down there and i noticed it too no herpes and it started to smell like that recently i havent been eating well lately and ive been stressed (havent had sex since january) whats wrong?

Bacterial vaginosis?: The most common cause of strong vaginal odor, especially fishy odor, is bacterial vaginosis -- an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. STDs also can cause odor, either directly or by triggering BV. Both STDs like chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, and BV itself can last months; no sex since January doesn't mean no STD. See a doctor ASAP for diagnosis and treatment. Good luck!
