Correct: You are doing what is correct by keeping it clean and using topical antibiotics. Avoid the hydrogen peroxide, but use topicals like mupirocin or bacitracin to keep,it clean with a bandage until,the skin can close. Consider wearing nitrile or latex gloves during water submersion like doing dishes to keep it dry. Good luck
