A member asked:

I know hunger can cause a gnawing/empty feeling in your stomach, but can it also cause that feeling to occur in the back of your throat as well?

Individual variation: Every one has their own symptoms to hunger. If this occurs with you it is your normal. Generally, throat symptoms maybe more related to dehydration or sickness than the feelings of hunger. If it resolves with eating food then it is simply your sensitivity to hunger.
