Hi, ive been put on flagyl for 14 days . to treat bv symptoms. currently a week in, and im starting to notice my nose peel and face break out . should i discontinue this medication ?

Drug reaction?: Possibly allergic reaction to metronidazole, especially if "break out" and peeling are like sunburn, suggesting a type of allergy called photosensitivity. Pimples and peeling alone are unlikely to be a drug reaction. Stop taking it and immediately contact the doctor or clinic where it was prescribed and follow their advice. If safe to continue, it's OK to miss a couple of doses.
