Heartburn: The entrance to the stomach is located just in back of the heart.Backwash of stomach acid can trigger pain in that location which can be quite dramatic. Avoiding caffeine,nicotine or laying down after meals can avoid aggravating this issue. You can confirm this with your doc who might suggest a treatment plan or extra workup.
