Unrelated?: There are many reasons why your stomach could have been painful and enlarged. Since the pain resolved, it is possible that the current size of your stomach and weight gain are unrelated. See a doctor to determine a plan for weight loss and to have a thorough physical exam. Standard blood/stool tests can determine if you have any endocrine problems or parasites which may be affecting your GI system
