Chest wall: Chest wall muscular strain may be the cause of the pain while breathing or coughing. During the respiratory cycle the chest wall muscles are active and if there is pain, there may be muscular strain. Other causes include inflammation of the lining of the lung. Monitor for fever, shortness of breath, and use Motrin and local heating pad for pain relief. Please follow up.
