Allergies don't hurt: Nasal allergies can produce congestion and because of that eustachian tube obstruction which produces ear pressure, muffled hearing and pupping of the ears. If you are hurting for 4 weeks, and hurts to touch around and in the ear canal, you need to look for ear infection in the canal, infected inner ear or even TMj joint pain. You need an exam.
