"emergency pill" ?: The "emergency pill" is not 100 % effective in preventing pregnancy, but the degree of success is best achieved if taken within days of unprotected sex, and will not have any benefit for birth control if taken now. Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.
