Frequent "periods" ?: Bleeding "16 days apart" does not represent menstrual bleeding. PCOS usually involves very irregular ovulation, which is accompanied by sustained estrogen mediated thickening of the uterine lining, which can break done causing intermittent vaginal bleeding. Ask you gyn physician about low dose oral contraceptives, an approved treatment for PCOS.
