: Patients with PCOS are encouraged to speak with their OBGYN physician about low dose oral bcp's as an alternative to not only irregular periods, but to the effects of high levels of estrogen which can lead to later endometrial abnormalities. If no contraindications exist for bcp's, they are a reasonable choice for women with PCOS.
