Indirectly: PCOS is the result of genetics and environmental factors. There are several forms of PCOS: insulin resistant, inflammation-based, or synthetic hormone-induced (birth control). The research for COVID-19 is starting to identify that those patients with chronic, underlying inflammation may be at greater risk. PCOS is a hormone disorder, but the root cause can also make you vulnerable to infection.

Not exactly: PCOS is more of a hormone abnormality that is due to excess estrogen and therefore insulin resistance (precursor to diabetes). The reason some consider this immune issue is because of the excess steroid hormone estrogen and steroid hormones from the adrenal glands. This is similar to the way that medications like prednisone work to decrease inflammation by muting the immune response to germs.

Not an immune disord: PCOS is not associated with immune suppression. So there is no reason to consider you as high risk for developing COVID-19. The exact cause of PCOS is unknown. the most common explanation for this condition is that it is a metabolic disorder which has associated conditions such as Glucose intolerance, Insulin resistance and diabetes due to excess of body weight.
