Keratosis pilaris.: Think of it as eczema of the hair follicles. It usually responds promptly to a mid-strength topical corticosteroid cream, which a dermatologist can prescribe for you, after confirming that that is, in fact, what it is.

Keratosis pilaris: If you have bumpy dry skin in your arms, thighs and sometimes face that does not give you any symptoms or change significantly you might have keratosis pilaris. It is a cousin of dry skin and usually improves if you an your skin are well hydrated and you use an exfoliator along with a buff puff when you shower.
