I have lateral foot pain. there is some bruising and swelling it hurts when im resting and walking. should i get an xray? i have been doing the rice method but that doesn't seem to work. what could be the cause of this?

Yes: An evaluation and x ray may be obtained by seeing urgent care or your PCP. To rule out a fracture, please have an x ray. Apply local ice, take Motrin for pain and elevate your foot.
