I am positive covid-19 but how come a person whom i had direct contact with (sharing saliva through kissing) tested negative? and also if one had recovered would you be proned to test positive again when in contact with a positive case god forbid?

COVID 19: Perhaps when you kissed you were not COVID 19 positive yet? Maybe your viral load was not high at that time? The hope would be that there would be some protection from antibodies that were formed when infected - however there is still uncertainty about this.

Transmission: We're learning that some people have immunity to covid19 possibly from having past infections with a related corona type virus. Another possibility is a false negative test in a person who is infected but has no symptoms. We don't know if infection confers prolonged immunity after one episode of infection.
