Shortness of breath : People describe shortness of breath (SOB) differently and it should be evaluated in person It's concerning when you walk a short distance or do short term exercise and you feel SOB you need to see a doctor right away. Some people report SOB as be a pain in breathing, unable to take a full breath, wheezing, or stuffy nose. A cough often is a result of postnasal drip, lung issues, gastric reflux.

Vasovagal: It sounds like your blood pressure drops when you bend over or cough... In the normal sense the body is reacting more than what it should. Also you might have to get your blood pressure checked to make sure it is not varying significantly in different positions like laying, sitting or standing. Lastly positional vertigo is a possibility.

UH BOY...: There is a reason why they used to call this disease the "100 day cough". In my experience, it takes several weeks(2-4), sometimes longer. This is true despite all we do to try and make your infection go away. I've had patients who have fractured ribs from whooping cough...

Coughing for a few months, mild mostly dry. Month and a half mild shortness breath.what can it be? How long before pneumonia symptoms show?

This is not pneumoni: Pneumonia is an acute infection of the lung. It develops rather suddenly, over 3-5 days and does not linger on for more than one to 3 weeks. Anything persisting longer requires complete evaluation for allergies or for a more chronic condition. Go see a Pulmonologist for further advice.

Soda alone no proble: The SOB is a problem. At 18 you may be suffering from chronic reflux of abdominal contents(w acid and enzymes) or maybe pneumonia or asthma. Need to see an internist to get you in the right direction.
