Dilution : 1/2 gallon daily is recommended intake for water. You don’t say why you consume a gallon. Are you working outdoors and sweating it out? Then, a gallon may be the correct amount! But if you are just thirsty, it might signal a medical problem (like diabetes) that should be evaluated by a doctor. Excess water intake can drop your sodium over time and change the chemical balance in your blood.
