Is it necessary to take the combined birth control pill at the same time everyday? my understanding is that you just need to make sure you take it everyday.

Not required: Our bodies like consistency. If you take any medication at the same time every day- you are more likely to make it part of your routine and to remember to take it. Evenly dosing medication helps to maintain balance. Progestin only pills need to be taken within 3 hour time frame each day. Combined oral contraceptives don't have to be taken the same time every day but it is still a good idea.
