Seborrheic Dermatiti: Seborrheic (seb-o-REE-ik) dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. It causes itchy, scaly patches, red skin and stubborn dandruff. Wash scalp with shampoo containing 2 percent ketoconazole (Nizoral), Pyrithione zinc, Selenium sulfide or Salicylic acid. If this doesn't help see your Dr for a prescription for topical corticosteroids. Last resort may be oral antifungals.
