Mucosal tears : It is possible that sharp nails have caused mucosal tears in Vagina. Keeping the area clean with lukewarm water and applying glycerine or vitamin E oil may help in healing. Abstinence for 5-7 days will decrease chances of reinjury and infection. Any other sign or symptoms should be reported to your ob/gyn promptly. Tetanus toxoid if not current.
