Folliculitis: sounds like either folliculitis or contact dermatitis. see dermatologist to be eval and possibly txed. Sometimes, one's deodorant could be the problem.

Folliculitis: I believe that you have infection of hair follicles and that the most likely culprit is staph bacteria. Wash the armpit with soap and water, pat dry, apply antibacterial ointment like bacitracin daily. No deodorant. In stubborn cases you may have to take a course of effective antistaphllococcus oral antibiotics to fully eliminate the bacteria which colonize your armpit. Discuss this with your MD.
