Basics: The vaginal walls are lined with moist secretions containing glucose & protein. This is an inviting medium that will sustain a number of germs & yeast. The close location of the anal outlet means simple contamination can enter & cause a simple infection unrelated to sex.Examination of the discharge &/or culture could identify it. If over the counter agents don't help a visit would be worthwhile.
