Some basics: Both of these infections can exist without symptoms for an extended period. They can remain symptom free or progress to severe abdominal infection requiring hospital level care. They can also damage your Fallopian tubes & make you sterile if not treated. If you are sexually active & may have been exposed a routine screening for STD's is part of life. Do it.
