FDA Category B: Just as when you previously asked, Pentosan polysulfate sodium or Elmiron is US FDA pregnancy category B. Per Drugs.Com - "Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Use is not recommended unless clearly needed." We often prescribe Category b drugs to pregnant women.
