A member asked:

I went for my medical on the mine and the xrays showed that my lungs are blackening and i dont smoke?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Odd statement: Having examined thousands of x-rays over decades & reviewed their written reports I have never heard of or can I see how someone would make that statement. Increased density on x-rays is seen as increasing haze or whiteness.I have seen blackened lungs on autopsy specimens in smokers & in those living in urban polluted centers.
