Visanne: The is an estrogen. It is used often to treat endometriosis. It works by reducing the endometrial lining of the uterus. This works over time. In one study, after 24 weeks of therapy 67% of people on the medication improved there pain scores versus 26% of those on placebo. Given you have only been on medication for 4 months this is expected. If persistent heavy bleeding let your provider know.
