Both effective: Depo Provera and Nuristerat injections are composed of hormones that help prevent pregnancy. Nurestirat injections last 2 months whereas Depo lasts 3 months. Norestirat is also only for short term use- two shots max (such as when your partner is having a vasectomy or when meds or vaccines are interfering with nl contraception. Depo provera can be used for years.
