Late period ?'s: A late period may be secondary to delayed ovulation, and menstrual flow begins 14 days after ovulation. Causes can be stress (emotional, job, school, etc.) or an early pregnancy which ended (miscarriage), a common occurrence prior to successful carrying of a pregnancy to term.
