My 10 year old picked up the 2 year old. his back made a crack sound and is now hurting in his lower and middle back. he can use his legs, but it hurts to walk. when should we be worried and visit the hospital?

See a DR: Since it hurts to walk, I would take the 2 yr old to see his Pediatrician. A thorough exam can determine whether there is any residual problem that requires further evaluation. Short term muscle pain can be treated with acetaminophen every 4-6 hours. Use alternating warm and cool compresses on his lower back to provide relief.
