Emergency room safe: Dislocations are best dealt with by emergency personnel who are trained to deal with them, to avoid further damage & complications. Most can be reduced fairly easily if you don’t wait too long (muscle spasm is worse with longer wait) , & xray can be done to be sure no bony injury
