Green is bile: When your stool passes fast through the intestinal tract the green bile is the color you see in the stool, because the bile doesnt have time to get reabsorbed and give the darker colored stool you are used to. Yellow colored diarrhea is seen in even faster traveling stools. The darker the color, the slower the transit and greater reabsorption of bile.
