Exam advised: Lower left discomfort can be caused by irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis of the descending colon or inflammatory bowel disease, but I would expect some bowel symptoms as well. Pelvic inflammatory disease or ovarian pathology are other possibilities especially if there are no bowel symptoms. I recommend seeing a physician for evaluation and any appropriate testing or referrals to specialists
